FONTANA, California — November 4, 2026. Alongside the race for mayor, Fontana voters chose candidates for the city’s elected clerk and treasurer. These are separate municipal offices with distinct duties, and their election-night totals deserve more than a footnote to the mayoral contest.

City clerk: three-candidate race

The county’s latest unofficial figures put Germaine Key at 12,149 votes (42.39%), Joe Alvanez at 10,362 (36.15%) and Daniel Quiroga at 6,133 (21.40%). Key leads Alvanez by 1,787 votes. The clerk’s office is involved in maintaining public municipal records and election-related city administrative functions.

City treasurer

For treasurer, Joe Armendarez has 18,029 votes (62.36%) against Kamal Namou’s 10,860 (37.56%). This election concerns municipal financial oversight, not state treasury. All 70 Fontana precincts have reported election-night results, but those numbers do not constitute legal certification.

Other races are distinct

The mayoral tally currently shows Acquanetta Warren at 13,493 and Jocelyn “Joz” Sida at 11,308; city council Districts 1 and 4 have their own separate ballots. Later county totals may still change.

Although all precincts have reported election-night returns, valid mail, provisional and other ballots may still be processed. These are not certified results.
